Cascadia is an album that traces the emotional arc of a cyberattack, scoring the invisible battle that plays out every day.
It starts in the baseline: the steady, rhythmic hum of a network in a known-good state. Everything is green.
Then, you see it. A flicker in the telemetry. A deviation so subtle it shouldn't matter, but it pulls at the back of your mind. The stillness breaks. You dig into the logs. Your pulse quickens as the anomaly sharpens into a threat, and suddenly, you're no longer just watching data; you're in the hunt.
Each track maps a moment. The surge of fear when the attacker is first noticed. The tension of pursuit. The slow compression of uncertainty into clarity. You move through the pursuit, the containment, the isolation of the threat until control is restored and the noise recedes.
Cascadia is built from real signals with telemetry, logs, fragments of activity translated into rhythm, harmony, and pressure. This is not a metaphor. This is the sound of defense unfolding in real time.
A soundtrack for the
unseen battle

Cascadia is a musical and visual experience that blends ambient soundscapes with dark electronic momentum.
Pulses rise and fall like system load, textures stretch and fracture under pressure, and motifs recur like signatures left behind in the data. Tension is built through texture rather than volume, through repetition rather than chaos.
On this album, real SOC telemetry and system data has been translated to control the outcome of musical phrases, themes and motifs. The visuals respond to the same signals, not as decoration, but as another layer of interpretation. Together, they form a soundtrack for an invisible battle that plays out every day.

Behind the art
Aaron Alden is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist and creative director working at the experimental edge of emerging media for over three decades. Blending art, code, and real-world data, he designs rule-based creative frameworks where randomness and control converge into immersive visual and sonic experiences.
Created in collaboration with Palo Alto Networks, Cascadia approaches cybersecurity as story, scoring the arc of detection, containment, and resolution. Using real-world telemetry from the Palo Alto Networks security operations center as source material, the project transforms daily digital defense into an expansive sonic narrative.
